THE STORY OF CENTER STAGE PRODUCTIONS

Dedicated to the love of theater, music, and dance, a group of teachers formed the Chichester Community Theater in 1984. Renamed in 1990, "Center Stage Productions" is an independent, self-supporting organization working to enhance the role of the love of theater in the community. We seek to make the theater experience an educational, enlightening, enjoyable event.

Our workshops and productions are open to anyone interested in some aspect of the performing arts. Inaddition, we offer several special events every year - field trips, concerts, plays - to our members at nominal cost. Our goal is to offer social development and performing arts skills through theater related activities. Students learn to sing, dance, act, and relate to peers and adults while producing excellent musical and dramatic productions.

Since its inception, CSP has successfully produced many shows including Stalag 17, Grease, West Side Story, Man of LaMancha, Once Upon a Mattress, Charlie and Algernon, The Music Man, Camelot, One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest, The Sound of Music, Little Shop of Horrors, The Miracle Worker, Our Town, South Pacific, The Pirates of Penzance, Dracula, The King and I, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, Sweeney Todd, Oklahoma, M.A.S.H., Amahl and the Night Visitors, Rodgers and Hart: A Celebration, Stepping Out, Pippin, Nunsense, Cole/Noel: Let's Fall in Love, Nunsense II: The Second Coming, Red Zone Cuba: The Musical, Blood Brothers, The House of Blue Leaves, and You're a Good Man Charlie Brown.
